Elite Pro hoods are specifically designed to improve comfort and provide greater freedom of movement while significantly reducing tugging or pulling away from the SCBA facepiece. Tapered back, notched shoulder drape and patterned bib perfectly interface with turnout collars and SCBA strapping. Designed to comfortably integrate with SCBA facepiece head harness and maintain proper seal with mask.
Particulate coverage throughout entire head including Sure‑Fit™ panel at crown. Front and back bib extends particulate barrier coverage beyond critical areas as identified by NFPA – Maximum Protection. UL Classified to NFPA 1971 Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting – Current Edition. Fabric Description:
Quilted composite with PFAS-free durable water resistant finish on the exterior layer and a dual-technology antimicrobial and anti-odor finish on the inside layer with Nomex® Nano Flex between layers for excellent stretch, recovery and odor control. Highest air permeability of particulate fire hoods on the market at 23 cfm, approximately 3-6 times greater than PTFE laminated hoods. Averages 96% particulate efficiency for particulates between 0.1 and 1.0 microns. PGI quilted BarriAire composite fabrics recently achieved Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE) Rating of 96.8% and Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) Rating of 97.9% (as conducted by Nelson Labs, U.S.A.). NFPA 70E Hazard Risk Category 4.

PGI’s signature articulated sleeves with six-panel design and seamless shoulders resist “hike-up” when raising arms and allows outstanding comfort and freedom of movement. Super tough Pioneer™ fabric reinforced elbows and cuffs increases tear and abrasion resistance.
Elasticized cuffs with expansion gussets and adjustable hook and loop tab closures interface perfectly with gloves. Double-pull zipper front, with both inside and outside storm fly, adjusts for ventilation or can be completely zipped up to the top of Alpine collar for complete neck and lower face protection. High-capacity four-pocket configuration ensures optimal equipment storage and accessibility.

Six pockets including expandable 3-D cargo pockets allow generous storage capacity. Elastic back waistband with adjustable side take-up straps for a custom fit. Seven belt loops accommodate a 2″ wide belt. Knee-length leg zippers allow donning and doffing with boots on. Zipper side access openings enable easy access to undergarments. Super tough Zytel® nylon zippers used throughout.
Fully adjustable elasticized cuffs can be worn open for venting or secured for protection from flame, heat, and soot.
